The International Advisory Panel for Singapore’s National Cybersecurity Research and Development Programme has appointed Eugene Kapersky to its team.
Now a household name, Kapersky is a Russian cyber security expert and the founder and chief executive officer of Kapersky Lab.
The global security company has built up a strong reputation for discovering potential threats as they unfold.
Kapersky joined the panel on April 1st, taking his seat alongside the likes of Professor Howard Schmidt, former cyber adviser to both George W Bush and Barack Obama, and Israeli military scientist Yizhak Ben-Israel.
Talking about the new role, Kapersky said it was a “great honour” to take up the position.
He added: “Singapore is a small but very important advanced country. It is often a step ahead of the rest of the world in many regards and its strategic approach to cyber security is something other nations should follow.”
What is also noteworthy about the panel is that it brings together expertise from a range of sources. For the full article click here
