For several years now, the Center for Cyber and Homeland Security (CCHS) has partnered with George Washington University’s (GWU) School of Business to lead the World Executive MBA (WEMBA) program in cybersecurity – a unique program which provides executives with the knowledge, tools and experience they need to protect their organizations.
According to CCHS and GWU, “Candidates learn from top academic experts and have the opportunity to work alongside cybersecurity practitioners as they research and adapt to the ever-changing and evolving nature of threats in this new and in-demand field.”
Frank Cilluffo, associate vice president and director of CCHS, has been a co-director of the program since its inception.
CCHS is a nonpartisan “think and do” tank whose mission is to carry out policy-relevant research and analysis on homeland security, counterterrorism and cybersecurity issues. “By convening domestic and international policymakers and practitioners at all levels of government, the private and non-profit sectors and academia, CCHS develops innovative strategies to address and confront current and future threats,” the center said.
According to GWU, its “School of Business knows what today’s business professionals need to be successful in their careers—because it asked them.”
The World Executive MBA is a comprehensive program that prepares working professionals to build and lead successful teams, to manage effectively on a global landscape, to deliver exemplary results, to leverage the power of partnership and to use communication, critical thinking and problem solving with new mastery.
“Our specialized World Executive MBA with cybersecurity prepares leaders to work across industries, sectors and borders to detect, confront and defeat the myriad security threats lurking in cyberspace,” GWU said, noting that, “Professionals enrolled in the program learn from top cybersecurity and cyber-policy experts. The program’s international residencies assign candidates to work on actual cybersecurity projects with organizations such as NATO in Brussels or the European Cybercrime Centre at the Hague.”
