In an effort to bolster the cybersecurity of health information, the New Jersey Cybersecurity and Communications Integration Cell (NJCCIC) is working to enhance threat information sharing among healthcare providers.
Partnering with the National Healthcare Information Sharing and Analysis Center, NJCCIC plans to automate the exchange of cyber threat indicators and information on adversary tools and tactics, so that the state and its healthcare providers can remain aware of new attack vectors. The agreement mandates strict data handling, classification and disclosure protocols to protect the confidentiality of both parties’ constituents, officials said.
Using Soltra Edge, an automated threat intelligence platform, both organizations can share respective cyber intelligence data in real-time, said Stephanie Raphael, director of communications for the New Jersey Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness.
The platform takes threat intelligence from any source in any format and de-duplicates the data, automates sightings and prioritizes actions, according to Soltra, a joint venture between Financial Services Information Sharing and Analysis Center and the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation. It routes intelligence to users, devices and communities in real-time, reducing the time required for threat indicator analysis. For the full article click here
