Squire Patton Boggs has hired Scott Warren, a former Microsoft attorney and general counsel at Sega, as head of its Asia cybersecurity practice. Warren, who will be based in Tokyo, was head of Japan for Epiq Systems until last year in Japan. He has more than 30 years of experience in litigation, licensing and protecting intellectual property, of which more than 20 years have been spent handling legal, regulatory and investigative matters in Asia. He is a member of the executive board of The Society for the Policing of Cyberspace. While working with Microsoft, Warren worked on the launch of Xbox platform in Asia, supporting commercial and IP transactions related to the distribution, service, support, internal game development and third party incentive agreements for Xbox.
