Local cybersecurity firm CNF Technologies has committed to investing $1,500 annually for a scholarship at the University of Texas at San Antonio.
The scholarship will go to an undergraduate student with at least 60 credit hours who is enrolled on a full-time basis and pursuing a degree in computer science in the College of Sciences at UTSA.
Fred Ramirez, founder and CEO of CNF Technologies, said the scholarship is an investment in the local community and will target students from the San Antonio area with either a demonstrated economic need or that are first generation college students.CNF also will offer the scholarship recipient a paid internship during their senior year to work as a cyber security professional. Accepting the internship is not a condition of receiving the scholarship.
