Auditor discusses local schools, cybersecurity

The state auditor made a return visit Wednesday to St. Joseph.

Missouri State Auditor Nicole Galloway discussed the progress of the St. Joseph School District and cybersecurity as part of an editorial board meeting with the St. Joseph News-Press and FOX 26 KNPN.

Ms. Galloway joined the auditor’s office in April when Gov. Jay Nixon appointed her to finish the term of the late Tom Schweich.

Although Ms. Galloway did not play a role in the initial audit of the St. Joseph School District, she compiled a follow-up report on the district’s progress that was released in September. She reiterated the report’s findings that the district had met 10 of the 22 recommendations her office reviewed and was in the progress of addressing the other 12 issues. For the full article click here
