Cybersecurity talent shortage offers new mission for Augusta’s veterans

AUGUSTA, Georgia – The Augusta Warrior Project and Augusta University Cyber Institute have announced collaboration with SANS Institute, a world leader in information security training and certification.  Together, they are bringing the SANS CyberTalent VetSuccess Immersion Academy to Augusta.  This intense accelerated training program is designed to provide transitioning veterans with a fast track to training, certifications, and employment in the cybersecurity industry.

This six to eight week program offers intense immersion training for area veterans with an interest and aptitude in cybersecurity.  The Academy is free to qualified candidates and is valued at up to $30,000 per participant depending on curriculum selected.  Applications are being accepted now through January 10, 2015.  Classes will be held at the Augusta University Cyber Institute. For the full article click here
