New cybersecurity course coming to HVCC

TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – A new course is coming to Hudson Valley Community College devoted to online security.

The course is called Cybersecurity 101, and it begins next semester. HVCC has partnered with a Troy company called GreyCastle Security to offer the new certificate program.

The company’s CEO said anyone can benefit from taking the course.

“Cybersecurity 101 is for everyone,” CEO Reg Harnish said. “Anyone who may be looking to change careers, as a student today who wants to get into cybersecurity, really anyone. People who are CPAs, people who are in risk, people who are in finance or HR. Let’s face it. Today, every job out there has a cyber security implication to it, so this is a great introduction for them.” For the full article click here
