BENGALURU: In a bid to promote and drive growth in the area of cyber security, city surveillance and other IT-driven safety initiatives, the Karnataka State Electronics Development Corporation Ltd (Keonics) and NEC India, a solutions provider, signed an MoU in the city recently.
In the area of cybersecurity, NEC India and Keonics will collaborate to provide solutions that protect against cybercrime, as well as focus on talent development.
Keonics will leverage NEC’s solution in the areas of cybersecurity, city surveillance, criminal investigation and forensics, and system integration.
The programme was inaugurated by S R Patil, Minister for IT, BT, Science Technology and Planning, Statistics. Speaking to the audience, Patil said, “It is a milestone in the history of Keonics. Cyber Institute is the first of its kind in India.”
“Keonics, together with NEC, is proud to be able to play a role in converting Indian cities into smart, safe and world-class security offerings,” said Chairperson of Keonics, U B Venkatesh.
“We are confident that NEC’s technological capabilities, global experience and local understandings in partnership with Keonics, will bring new value to the citizens of Karnataka and India,” said Koichiro Koide, MD, NEC India.
