Fallout Shelter Hacked Shortly After Release

Not too long ago earlier this morning, we brought you word that Android users would definitely rejoice in – Fallout Shelter has arrived on that particular mobile platform. Fallout Shelter happens to be Bethesda’s smash hit title that is free-to-play, and to see it hit Android was definitely something. However, there is a dark cloud to the situation, as it looks as though the game’s leaderboards were hacked.

According to Reddit user MrWoddleWoodle, the “Jake Pile” is the leader in the game with a score of 2 billion, and it certainly sounds impossible if one were to take into consideration how the next user to Jake Pile has a mere 16,000 points, where he is known as “Bytesize TestUser”. Coming in third would be “Bethesda QA”.

Fallout Shelter for iOS was introduced live over two months back on the stage at Bethesda’s E3 press conference, which certainly saw the Android community ask for something in the same vein on their behalf. However, it is rather sad to know that the title has been hacked, and so soon, too. Hopefully things can be rectified sooner rather than later, as playing a game with a hacked leaderboard is certainly not much fun at all, but at least the leaderboard does not reset like those old school arcade games!
