Gov. Chris Christie is planning to sign an executive order aimed at better protecting the state from cybersecurity threats.
The order is scheduled to be signed Wednesday afternoon at the New Jersey Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness in Hamilton.
Christie’s office says the order will establish the New Jersey Cybersecurity and Communications Integration Cell.
The new entity is intended to serve as a hub for sharing information, analyzing potential threats and coordinating with federal law enforcement officials.
The potential presidential contender has stressed the threat of cyberterrorism to national security.
