IPACSO CYBER SECURITY INNOVATION BOOTCAMP – IRELAND

IPACSO: Supporting Cyber Security & Privacy Innovators

IPACSO is a joint project by Industry and Research partners, aimed at supporting Privacy and Cyber Security Innovations in Europe. IPACSO aims to support innovators with state of the art innovation methodologies and best practices in their innovation process, that will help them to find their road to market faster, more effective and more efficient. IPACSO aims to (1) Increase the innovation capacity of European ICT – Security companies, (2) connect innovators with potential partners, clients, researchers and investors, and (3) create visibility and credibility for cyber security & privacy innovations ‘Made in Europe’

One of the main results of the IPACSO project is a a knowledge and decision- support framework that will help innovators to identify, assess and exploit market opportunities. But IPACSO does more! The European Cyber Security & Privacy Innovation Awards are the brainchild of the IPACSO consortium; IPACSO also organizes workshops, events and bootcamps, to help innovative security entrepreneurs to apply the Framework in their innovation process, and  create visibility for their solutionss. The IPACSO project is supported by the European Commission.

We welcome new privacy and cyber security innovators to get in touch with IPACSO, to participate in events, apply the Innovation Framework to their business, and maybe compete in the second edition of the IPACSO European Cyber Security & Privacy Innovation Awards in 2015.

IPACSO Innovation Bootcamps

‘Highly interactive workshops, aimed to support cyber security & privacy entrepreneurs in their innovation process. With proven methodologies from other industries, but applied to the ICT Security landscape’

Cyber Security & Privacy innovators are invited to participate to the IPACSO Security and Privacy bootcamps throughout Europe. The IPACSO project focuses on bringing innovation frameworks to innovators, based upon proven methodologies from other industries, but applied to the ICT Security landscape based upon experiences and expertise from other cyber security innovators. Part of the IPACSO project, the Bootcamps are highly interactive sessions that include education and training, with direct advisory applicable to ongoing cases or to measure the participants needs. The Innovation Bootcamps have been very successful in innovation domains. Earlier Bootcamps took place in July and September in Belgium. Seven entrepeneurs are now being guided to their next steps in their development process.

Their typical character is:
– A small number of participants 6 to 10 max
– Determining the participants interests, objectives, experience and markets in advance
– One or multiple motivational bootcamp instructors, with field experiences
– supported with the theoretical backgrounds from IPACSO Innovation methodologies & IPACSO Framework under development
– Working towards practical implementations of innovations, challenging assumptions, providing feedback into go-to-market models
– Sharpening Executive Summary and provide feedback to business case
