Industries represented include tech, oil, finance, and entertainment. These steps serve not only the Chinese government’s interest but also the interests of US businesses and other actors deeply engaged in partnership with the Chinese government.
Some U.S. companies are pushing for a harsher USA government stance against restrictive Chinese policies aimed at United States companies while others are wary of what they stand to lose if China reacts by further denying market access.
