Italian aerospace and defence company Finmeccanica, through its subsidiary Selex ES, has been awarded a EUR 19 million contract to extend NATO’s cybersecurity capability across additional alliance sites over the next two years. The NATO Computer Incident Response Capability (NCIRC) was delivered by Selex ES in May 2014. Following the success of the initial programme, the new contract will see Finmeccanica-Selex ES extend NCIRC to a number of additional sites beyond the 52 NATO sites and headquarters in 29 countries it currently covers. The NCIRC is designed, implemented and operated by Finmeccanica-Selex ES and provides NATO with a world-class cyber-incident detection and management capability.
