Box CEO: Security concerns drive companies to the cloud

Security concerns are pushing companies into the cloud, the CEO of Bay Area file-sharing company Box said.

Speaking Wednesday at the Morgan Stanley technology conference in San Francisco, CEO Aaron Levie said he sees companies are much more receptive to the cloud because they understand features like encryption, file sharing and control over accessibility.

“Our customers rely on us to protect their most valuable information,” Levie said.“Their legacy technology is making them insecure.”

Fortune reports that Levie said companies that use tools from Google (NASDAQ: GOOG), Salesforce (NYSE: CRM) and IBM (NYSE: IBM) are going to need a way to streamline that experience – and that’s where Box (NYSE: BOX) comes in. For the full article click here
