The Ministry of Science, ICT & Future Planning announced on March 6 that vice minister Choi Jae-yu had a meeting with Dr. Reginald Brothers, under secretary of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, on March 3 for a closer bilateral cooperation in the field of cyber security.
Specifically, Korea and the United States agreed on a closer cooperation for the joint development of cyber security technology, sharing of information on cyber threats and policy coordination in the field.
To this end, the cyber emergency response teams (CERTs) of both countries are to further develop their information sharing system so that they can better cope with fast-evolving cyber threats in advance. For the full article click here
