Holland & Hart Makes Move Toward Comprehensive Cybersecurity Offering for Clients

Holland & Hart today announced Matt Sorensen will be joining the firm as a valuable addition to its cybersecurity offering for clients. He recently served as IT Compliance Officer for the Office of the Presiding Bishop of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Salt Lake City where he helped oversee an information security program spanning 58 countries and more than 60 business lines. Sorensen joins a strategic team serving the increasingly complex needs of business and organizations seeking to secure their data and proactively thwart and respond to data breaches.

“Cybersecurity involves high-stakes issues for so many clients, including risking the company brand, risking enforcement measures in the event of data breaches, and battling sophisticated hackers. Any kind of cyberattack may also attract potential class action lawsuits and the increased scrutiny of customers and the supply chain. Many law firms are not equipped to handle both the legal aspects of cybersecurity and the specialized understanding of IT and company infrastructure. Matt’s experience in information risk management roles advising businesses in the financial, technology, and legal industries is part of our differentiated offering to clients. We want to provide our clients with comprehensive solutions, not partial fixes,” said Romaine Marshall, partner in the firm’s Privacy and Information Security and Litigation practices in Salt Lake City. For the full article click here
