IBM bets big on cognitive cybersecurity

IBM is intending to take the cybersecurity world by storm by combining cognitive computing and vast amounts of security that we have at our disposal to come up with innovative cognitive cybersecurity solutions.

Helping IBM in this endeavor is University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) whose experts share the same vision and together the two will carry out multi-year extensive research into new security solutions that will protect networks, information systems and communications of the future. The work will be carried out at the Accelerated Cognitive Cybersecurity Laboratory (ACCL) that will be housed by UMBC.

Through the research project, IBM and UMBC will carry out advanced research in the field of cognitive computing to cybersecurity via analytics and machine learning, while also exploring specialized computer power optimized for these new intensive computing workloads. For the full article click here
