MADISON, S.D. (AP) — Dakota State University is hosting a U.S. Senate cybersecurity field hearing on Thursday. U.S. Sen. John Thune will chair the 2:30 p.m. CDT hearing on confronting the challenge of cybersecurity in the school’s Tunheim Classroom Building, Thune is chairman of the Senate Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee. Dakota State University’s cyber operations program is nationally recognized by the National Security Agency and the Department of Homeland Security as a National Center of Academic Excellence. The program holds education, research and cyber operations designations. Thune says experts from the school have the experience and insight to inform federal policymaking as the country continues to guard against dangers in cyberspace
