HARTFORD — Concerns are mounting in state government that Congress may strip Connecticut consumers of protections under the state’s cybersecurity laws and infringe on the state’s ability to investigate data breaches.
Attorney General George C. Jepsen related Tuesday that more than 400 data breaches have been reported annually since the state enacted a 2012 law requiring all companies doing business here to inform his office of any security breaches.
