US insurers call for rewrite to draft cybersecurity rules

US insurance groups have asked the New York Department of Financial Services (NYDFS) to rewrite the recently drafted model cybersecurity law.

At the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC)’s spring meeting last week, industry representatives including the American Insurance Association (AIA) and the Property Casualty Insurers Association of America favoured a national, uniform cybersecurity model, but said that rewrites were required. For the full article click here
